How Long Does a Fractora Treatment Last?

Fractora stimulates collagen production to rejuvenate the skin, meaning results are long-term. As you would expect, however, the aging process will continue after the treatment and patients require additional treatments in the future, usually 1-2 per year.

How Does Fractora Work?

Fractora delivers RF energy to the skin through an array of pins producing localized heat and small micro-lesion dots in the treatment area. The gentle heat generated by the Fractora pins in the sub-dermal tissue promotes collagen restructuring for skin rejuvenation and an improved appearance in the skin. The methodical scattering of micro-lesions allows the skin to heal faster than if the entire area was ablated. This treatment extremely versatile and able to be customized for maximum results since the device has tips with varying depths. Ablation of the skin promotes skin resurfacing while untreated skin between the pins promotes faster healing of the treatment tissue.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

Fractora can be used on any areas that need rejuvenation. The most commonly treated areas include lower eyelid, upper eyelid, smile lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth, and neck. Yet, other body areas that exhibit fine or deep wrinkles, discoloration or areas that suffer from acne scarring are also suitable for treatment. Fractora is actually very effective on cystic acne and acne scarring.
